Description
“Jeanne D' Arc, A 3D Narration” is an experimental project, made by me and Pandelis Zoidis. It was made, in order to explore the possibilities of "Holographic Displays" and their application in futuristic story-telling.
The project is a theatrical monologue about the biography of Joan of Arc, filmed in a black-box with 4 synchronised cameras and presented as a 4-sided pseudo - hologram. The installation is using a reflective pyramid and a method called "Pepper's Ghost", in order to achieve the pseudo - holographic display.
The display is combined with a sound design in a 3D sound - field of 9 speakers to present a complete experimental audio - visual project.
The final installation gives the ability to the viewers to walk around the pyramid and watch the monologue from 4 different points of view, while the 3D sound design makes them feel as if the actions are actually happening inside the room.
